Systems I've architected and led in production: high-stakes launches that can't fail, real-time platforms at bank scale, and AI tooling for government and enterprise.

A 100K-registration launch that never went down

Event-driven serverless backend on AWS for a large international event. Every registration ran through message queues with dead-letter fallbacks and telemetry, so failures were caught before anyone noticed. 100K+ signed up; not one hit a problem.

An AI platform for government, defense and finance

As Tech Lead I led the React / Next.js frontend of Seekr for ~4 years, taking it from a single feature to a full product and a government vertical. Shipped v2 of the GitLab MCP server and reusable agent skills, plus UI for GRPO fine-tuning and streaming.

Cloud architecture, tuned to scale

Designed the AWS foundation in Terraform across three environments for a product team inside a 1,000+ engineer organization. Re-engaged to help it scale: load and stress testing, bottleneck analysis, and coaching the team to tune performance and test under load.

Real-time customer platform at bank scale

.NET Core microservices with Dapper over the bank's Oracle database, and live call handling with SignalR and Redis. Led a team of 10, owning architecture and the engineering bar with code reviews and OWASP.

About

I'm Luis, a Solutions Architect in Montevideo, Uruguay, with a decade and a half of shipping software that outlives the sprint that built it.

I started in full-stack development and grew into cloud architecture because I like owning the whole line, from the API a user touches down to the infrastructure it runs on and the bill it generates. Most of my time now goes to AWS: designing resilient, reproducible platforms and, just as often, making them cheaper to run.

What I care about isn't the demo, it's what's still standing six months later. Deploys that don't page anyone at 3am. Costs that trend down instead of up. Code the next engineer can actually read.
